Terms of service

Terms of Service

The agreement covering your use of Quaestio: what the service is and is not, how audit packs and subscriptions work, and the terms that govern the relationship.

§1. Agreement to terms

By creating an account, subscribing, purchasing audit packs, or using the Quaestio platform ("Service") operated by TechBoola Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. You are contracting with TechBoola Ltd, trading as Quaestio. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

§2. Nature of the service & professional disclaimer

  • ·Analytical & epistemic tool only: Quaestio uses automated algorithms and large language models to deconstruct arguments, identify potential baseline distortions, and surface counter-perspectives.
  • ·No professional advice: Quaestio does not provide financial, investment, accounting, legal, regulatory, or medical advice. Output scores, omission flags, and counter-evidence are generated for research, analytical review, and dialectical evaluation only. You are solely responsible for verifying any findings against original sources before relying on them or making business, investment, or legal decisions.

§3. Accounts & acceptable use

  • ·Account responsibility: you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
  • ·Document ownership & authority: you represent and warrant that you hold the legal right, authorisation, or licence to analyse any document, excerpt, or URL submitted to the Service.

You agree not to:

  • ·Use the Service for any unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or fraudulent purpose;
  • ·Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt our service infrastructure;
  • ·Resell, syndicate, or wrap the Service via automated programmatic scrapers without prior written consent.

§4. Payments, subscriptions & cancellations (via Paddle)

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who also handles order-related inquiries and returns.

Audit packs (one-off):

  • ·One-off packs (e.g. Starter Pack, Research Pack, Enterprise Pack) provide a fixed quantity of audit credits.
  • ·Audit credits purchased in one-off packs remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, after which unused pack credits expire.

Monthly subscriptions:

  • ·Recurring subscriptions (e.g. Pro Researcher, Boutique / Team) are billed monthly in advance.
  • ·Rollover policy: unused monthly credits roll over into subsequent months, capped at an additional one month's allowance (e.g. maximum accumulated balance of 70 audits on Pro Researcher).
  • ·Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription at any time via the Paddle customer portal link on your Account page. Upon cancellation, your subscription will not renew, but you retain full access to your plan tier and remaining credits until the end of your current billing period.
  • ·Upgrades & downgrades: plan tier changes take effect immediately and are prorated by Paddle.

Taxes: Paddle automatically calculates, collects, and remits applicable VAT or sales tax based on your country of residence or business VAT number.

§5. Intellectual property

  • ·Your inputs and audits: because Quaestio operates a zero-retention architecture, we claim no ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights over the documents you process or the reports generated from your documents.
  • ·Quaestio platform: all software, algorithms, user interfaces, branding, and designs remain the exclusive property of Quaestio.

§6. Limitation of liability

  • ·The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • ·Quaestio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • ·In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to us during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

§7. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
